CHIROPRACTIC
The practice of chiropractic consists of the examination, assessment, diagnosis, management and prevention of spinal, joint and related neuromusculoskeletal conditions. A treatment often utilizes spinal manipulation (or adjustment) which is a gentle but specific adjustment to the spinal column or other corrective manipulation designed to relieve pain and muscle spasm and improve, restore and/or enhance joint function.
MASSAGE THERAPY
Massage therapy focuses on the normalization of the soft tissues affected by stress, injury, and illness through the use of manual techniques that improve circulation, enhance muscular relaxation, relieve pain, reduce stress and promote health and well being. We offer therapeutic deep tissue massage, relaxation massage and prenatal massage.
ACUPUNCTURE
Acupuncture is performed by insertion of needles (with or without the application of small pulses of electric current to the needles) through the skin into the underlying tissues, at certain indicated points on the surface of the body, for the purpose of alleviation of pain or treatment of bodily diseases. We also offer herbal therapy and facial rejuvenation.
Psychology.
Our psychological services assist individuals, couples, and families in addressing a range of emotional issues including depression, anxiety, job stress, phobias, and poor self image. We offer a collaborative approach to working with people and tailor counseling to each client’s personal needs, characteristics, and presenting concerns.
Prescription Orthotics.
Prescription orthotics are biomechanical medical appliances that are custom made to correct your specific foot imbalance. They help restore the normal balance and alignment of your body by gently correcting foot abnormalities. Orthotics can help with bunions, hammer toes, foot, heel, arch, knee, hip, and back pain.
Exercise and Rehabilitation Programs.
Building strength, improving flexibility and improving balance are key components to recovery. Whether the goal is return to work or sport, we can develop exercise or rehabilitation programs to meet your needs.
Electrotherapy.
This is more commonly known as TENS and interferential current (IFC). Electrotherapy involves the placement of pads on the skin where and electrical current is applied. This electrical stimulation is known to block the transmission of pain impulses along nerves and promote the release of endorphins.
Ultrasound.
A treatment modality that utilizes mechanical waves which aid in the healing of various pathologies such as strains, sprains and tendonitis.
Spinal Decompression.
Spinal decompression works by gently stretching the spine which takes pressure off the intervertebral discs (gel-like cushions between the bones in your spine). Thus, bulging or herniated discs may retract which can take pressure off of the spine and allow for movement of water, oxygen, and nutrient-rich fluids into the discs so they can heal. This treatment has shown benefit for: back or neck pain, sciatica, bulging or herniated discs or degenerative disc disease.
We are open evenings and weekends and offer emergency care outside of business hours for an additional fee.
